In 2016, I was a clinician doing what everyone said would make me successful — seeing patients, charging per session, waiting for referrals that never came, and hoping consistency would eventually lead to stability.

My income looked like a heart monitor: $0 → $1,200 → $600.
I wasn’t failing because I wasn’t good at what I did — I was failing because no one had ever shown me how to build a real business.

Then one day, my boss called me his best employee in 20 years — and fired me.

That moment forced a choice: keep waiting for someone else to create my stability, or take ownership and build it myself.

The $150 room that changed everything.

I rented a tiny $150/month room, made a list of 20 aligned providers, and started dropping off referral one-sheets every week. Most doors didn’t open. I kept going anyway — sending thank-you notes, case updates, and small wins.

I stopped trying to educate people on my modality and started focusing on what they actually cared about — better sleep, more energy, less pain, improved digestion, peace of mind.

That’s when I developed transformation-based consultations — conversations designed to help clients see what’s possible before they ever sign up.

My consults stopped feeling like “sales calls.” They became service.
By the end, people were saying, “Charge my card when you’re finished.”

When life collapsed, my systems held steady.

In 2017, my dad suffered a traumatic brain injury and spent 27 days in a coma. I was working part-time, caregiving full-time, and still seeing clients. I realized I didn’t need perfect timing — I needed a plan that still worked when life didn’t.

By 2018, I’d grown my practice to consistent, private-pay months, hired an associate, and hit my first six figures.

Then in 2020, everything I built was tested again. Three weeks postpartum, a promised partnership collapsed. I was told I wouldn’t be paid unless I returned immediately — despite being in recovery.

That was my breaking point.
If my income depended on someone else’s permission, I didn’t have a business — I had a leash.

So I started over. Again.
From scratch.
Solo. Determined.

The systems I built funded my freedom and allowed me to rebuild life on my own terms.

Now, I teach others to do the same.

I started this journey in 2016.
I had to rebuild it in 2022.
Both times, it worked.

Now, I help holistic and fee-for-service providers do the same — not by hustling harder, but by creating the systems and structure that let their purpose pay them back.

Because this isn’t about luck or timing.
It’s about clarity, consistency, and building a business that gives you freedom instead of taking it away.
